Most of Yakima's customers shop primarily with retail distributors so they needed a partner to help enable their site to be more modern to facilitate direct to customer ecommerce as well as help in-store associates help customers in a retail environment find the best product.
Through workshops with the client we gained an understanding of how complex it is for users to shop for products based on their car’s make and model. So with that all in mind Copious developed the “Fit My Car” configurator and enriched the website experience to be focused around educational content and exploration. This allowed people to not only enter their car information but also allowed them to browse products their own way either by placement on the car or more activity-based shopping. By providing make and model information we were able to tailor the Yakima experience to each individual user by only showing products in the context of their vehicle.
